What is Covered
Damages and theft that occurs at the parking lot is covered up to the limits of the protection plan. All claims must meet all of Park Guards Terms of Use and claims requirements.
What isn’t Covered
Exclusions: What Is Not Covered
Damages arising from the actions of the parking or booking company, its employees, agents, or parking facility staff.
Negligence by the booking company or any parking facility.
Losses exceeding the limits provided in the coverage issued to the parking company or booking platform.
Damage or theft of property that was known or reasonably should have been known at the time of policy issuance.
Loss or damage due to:
Nuclear hazards (reaction, radiation, contamination)
War-related events (invasion, rebellion, military action, confiscation by government authorities)
Speed-detection devices (radar/laser detectors, jamming equipment)
Incidents occurring after leaving the parking facility
Unreported damages (must be reported within 72 hours of leaving the facility)
Specific causes of vehicle damage while parked, including:
Floods, underground water, sewer backups, plumbing failures
Fire, soot, or smoke
Intentional or negligent acts by the customer or passengers
Illegal activities
Animal-related damages (e.g., insects, rodents, birds)
Mechanical or engine failure
Mold, mildew, or rot
Hazardous materials (e.g., explosives, improperly stored lithium batteries, gasoline containers)
Natural disasters (hail, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes)
Vandalism, riots, war, insurrection, terrorism
Violations of parking facility rules
Bodily injury, death, or personal liability
Loss or damage due to unknown/mysterious disappearance without visible signs of forced entry or intentional part removal.

Detailed Coverage Limits and Eligibility
Coverage Limits
Coverage limits vary based on the plan selected and are displayed at the time of purchase.
Park Guard will only reimburse up to the plan limits specified at purchase, regardless of the damage or theft incurred.
No deductibles apply—coverage begins at the first dollar of a covered loss.
Eligible Vehicle Classifications
Coverage applies only to the following vehicle types:
Class 1: Motorcycles (including mopeds and scooters, 50cc or more)
Class 2: Passenger cars
Class 3: Pickups, panels, and vans
Class 5: Single-unit, 2-axle trucks (dually, dual rear tires)
Prohibited Vehicle Classifications
The following vehicles are not eligible for coverage:
Buses, single/multi-axle trucks, and multi-trailer vehicles
Specific vehicle classifications as outlined in Park Guard’s guidelines
Eligible Parking Venues
Coverage applies exclusively to parking locations where a partner company offers a protection plan, including but not limited to:
Airports (on-site or off-site)
Event venues (concerts, trade shows, fairs)
Hotels (on-site or off-site parking facilities)
Urban parking (garages, metered street parking)
United States only (limited to the United States only)
Prohibited Parking Venues
Coverage is not available for parking at:
Large multi-day outdoor events (e.g., Coachella, Burning Man, Lollapalooza)
Ineligible Customers
Customers are ineligible for coverage if they have:
Submitted two or more paid parking claims totaling $2,000 or more in theft or damage protection within the last six months.
Coverage and Exclusions
Park Guard will cover damage and theft occurring during the parking reservation at the parking facility, provided:
The Parking Protection Plan was purchased before the incident.
The claim meets all payment criteria.
Coverage is limited to the amount selected at purchase.
